Our story starts in the Zimbabwean bushveld, where founder Chris Murray first discovered his deep love for Africa’s wildlife and landscapes. That love led him to South Africa in 1975, where he turned passion into purpose, earning top guide qualifications and launching Primaluce Tours & Safaris in 1998.

Primaluce means ‘first light’, a tribute to the golden African sunrise and the new beginnings every journey brings.

Today, Primaluce remains a family-run, hands-on and committed company, dedicated to providing meaningful travel experiences. We’re proud members of SATSA and work only with partners we know and trust.
